Rome, Italy is the Mother House for the Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions. The Generalate was moved there from Hastings, England in 1968.
All of the Administration for the worldwide congregation takes place from here.
The community and Congregational Leadership are made
up of the following:
Congregational Leader - Sr. Bernardine Mullaveetil (India)
Reba D'Costa - Leadership Team Member (Bangladesh)
Marie Thérèse Ryder - Leadership Team Member (Australia)
Joanne Morgan - Leadership Team Member (New Zealand)
Margaret Doherty - Secretary (Ireland)
Martina Burke - General Secretary (New Zealand)
Beverley Grounds - Congregational Archivist (New Zealand)
Celestine Power - Missionary Renewal Courses (England)
Phan thi Tuyet Mau - Community Hospitality and Catering (Vietnam)
Teresa Tuan - Student (Vietnam)
Much of the time the Congregational Leader and Team Members are away on visitation to the various countries the Sisters are living in. While the principal mission of this community is service in support of mission around the congregation, hospitality and support of refugees are part of its immediate outreach in Rome itself.
